Terms of Service

In force since 17 September 2026

The rules for using JobHiker, in plain language: what you get, what you pay, how to stop paying, and what the job data and the match scores are worth. See also the Privacy Policy and the Impressum.

1. Who you are contracting with

JobHiker is operated by Donvink, a private individual in Ticino, Switzerland. You can reach us at hello@jobhiker.com, and the operator details are on the Impressum page.

These Terms form the agreement between you and us for the use of the website and the service. By creating an account you accept them.

2. What the service does

JobHiker collects job postings published on Swiss job boards, structures them, and — for subscribers — compares new postings against the CV and preferences you provide, then notifies you about the ones that match.

Searching the collected postings, saving them to your own board and tracking your applications are free. Automatic scoring and match notifications are the paid part. Some features are released gradually and may be switched on for some accounts before others.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the service, you must be at least 16 years old, and the details you give us must be accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in credentials to yourself.

One account is for one person. Sharing an account, or reselling access to it, is not permitted.

4. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, bulk-download or re-publish the job data, do not resell it, and do not use automated clients against the service beyond ordinary use of the product itself. Do not attempt to break the security of the service or to access other people's data.

The job postings come from third parties and remain subject to those boards' own terms.

5. Subscriptions, prices and payment

New accounts start with a free trial. When it ends, scoring and notifications stop unless you subscribe; the free parts of the service keep working.

The paid plan is CHF 15 per month. A higher tier at CHF 25 per month is listed for features that are not all released yet, and we only charge for it once they are. Prices are shown on the pricing page; where VAT applies to you, it is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay.

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email, and the new price applies from your next billing period — if you do not want it, cancel before then.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your account. Your subscription then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not renewed.

If you want the rest of a paid period back instead, write to hello@jobhiker.com and we will refund it pro rata for the full days you have not used. We do not refund periods that have already elapsed.

This is in addition to any statutory right of withdrawal you may have where you live.

7. The job data

Postings are collected from third-party job boards. We do not write them, we do not verify them, and we are not the employer. A posting may be out of date, already filled, inaccurate or removed at the source, and some postings on those boards are not genuine vacancies at all.

We do not guarantee that the collection is complete, and a vacancy that exists somewhere may never reach us.

8. Match scores and generated text

Match scores are produced by automated language models from your CV and the posting text. They are suggestions to help you decide where to look, not an assessment of you, and not advice. They can be wrong in both directions.

Where the product offers a generated cover-letter draft, it is a draft for you to read, edit and use at your discretion. Nothing is ever submitted to an employer on your behalf, and no application is ever sent automatically.

We do not promise interviews, offers or any other outcome.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability: it depends on third-party job boards, AI providers and hosting, any of which can fail or change.

We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you are paying for, you may cancel and ask for a pro-rata refund of the rest of the period.

10. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account menu, which also deletes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, in particular sections 3 and 4. If we close a paid account without cause, we refund the unused part of the period.

11. Liability

We are liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for personal injury, as the law requires. Otherwise our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — in particular for a job you did not get, a posting you did not see, or a decision you made based on a match score or a generated draft.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.

12. Your data

How we handle your CV, your email address and your usage of the service is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change affects you materially, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version. The date at the top of this page is always the version in force.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the CISG. The place of jurisdiction is Ticino, Switzerland — unless mandatory law gives you, as a consumer, the right to sue or be sued where you live.
